Delivery Of Packaging : Next Day Delivery of packaging by UK Mail is included in your price when you spend more than £250 on shipping charges. A delivery charge of £15.95 will be made on all orders less than £250.00. Please remember, we accept your own cartons, suitcases, bags and other well packed items
Vat : Vat @ 17.5% rising to 20% on the 01/01/2011 is included when shipping to destinations outside the EU.
Shipping Charges : All shipping charges are included in our prices to the named place of destination. (Shipping charges are not to be confused with customs and government charges which can be incurred on either service at the destination).
Door to Door Shipments : Also include normal destination customs, handling and delivery

Documentation : All UK documentation charges are included in our price, these include, Packing List, Shipping Notes, Bills of Lading and other normal shipping documentation requirements.
Credit / Debit Card Payments : We do not charge for payments made by Debit / Credit Cards.

Destination : Duties, Taxes, Customs Examination Fees, Quarantine and Fumigation charges if applicable, please contact the Embassy and check out the customs website for your destination or contact your personal advisor.
Door to Port Shipments : also exclude Destination Customs Clearance Charges, Port Handling and agency fees, however, other charges such as fumigation and quarantine charges or either less or not charged at all.
Vat : There is no Vat when shipping outside the EU, otherwise, 17.5% to be added to all prices.
Small Orders : Spend less than £250.00 on shipping charge and require our free packaging, there will be a delivery charge of £15.95
Parking when collecting the goods, the sender of the goods is responsible for ensuring there is sufficient legal parking available near the property, if in doubt please contact your personal advisor.
Palletising: Palletising is a one off charge of £35.00 and is the most popular of all optional extras. Your cartons, bags, pieces and furniture etc are loaded onto the heat treated, forestry commission stamped pallet/s, shrink wrapped and banded. It is a fact that palletising vastly reduces the chance of breakage, damage and loss. Palletising will increase the volume of your shipment by 20%. Heavy boxes, furniture, tools and fragiles over 1m3 should always be palletised. For further information, please see the packaging section or call your personal advisor.
Professional Packing: is an optional extra, this takes place at your home on the same day we collect the goods by our professional porters, this service is available in most areas. This service excludes, unplumbing of appliances, packing excluded items. Further charges are made for packing goods from outside the house, dismantling of furniture, packing breakables, glass, pottery, ornaments when they are in vast quantities or exceed 20% of the total volume of the shipment. Please note that our prices for packing are based on packing the full contents of a 3 bedroom semi detached house in 1 day, 1m3 in 1 hour, 5m3 in ½ a day. Our professional packing charge is £35.00 per m3 (£5.00 per large carton) with a maximum of £395.00. A minimum of £35.00 applies to non collection surcharge areas. Some areas the minimum will be more. Professional Packing excludes specialised packaging materials and wooden cases or crates if required. Storage: Storage for 1 month is included in your price, For further information please see the Storage Section or contact your personal advisor.
Insurance : For information on Marine Insurance please see the Insurance section Please note that insurance is provided by the Insurance Broker who is regulated by the FSA.
Deposit : We require payment of the deposit at the time of booking. Normally the deposit is £50.00 + the cost for any specialised packaging materials and upgrades. Should the value of your free packing cartons exceed £50.00 the deposit will be raised to £100.00. Any unused packaging not returned to Freightworld will be charged for at the full rate. Please see the packaging section. Some larger shipments, Full containers and when a booking is made from overseas, we require a minimum deposit of £100.00 to £200.
Final Payment : Are payable at the time of collection, we accept all major credit / debit cards (except AMEX), Cheques and we accept cash when Freightworld are collecting the shipment directly on one of our vehicles. When we are not collecting the shipment directly the final charges are to be paid on receipt. Except for Seafreight shipments cheques must be paid at least 5 days before the departure date. Payment is required in advance for customers not present at the time of collection. The amount maybe estimated and readjusted soon after the collection. Please note that if non payment of charges leads to unauthorised storage, this will be charged at the rate of £18.00 per per day. Security : Security is of paramount importance and we ask you to help us in ensuring that all security regulations are adhered to. Most countries will not allow your goods to arrive if the receiver is absent from the country of destination. Some countries will not allow us to ship the goods beofre they have accepted your shipment. Breaking their local laws can result in heavy fines being levied. If they are your personal effects, being shipped from and to yourself and you are a local citizan with a valid passport or a an immigrant with more than a tourist visa then there should not be a problem. EXEMPT AND RESTRICTED GOODS MUST NOT BE SHIPPED.
Exempt Goods : Goods by Sea NOT ALLOWED. Alcohol, Bank Notes and Currency, Bullion and Precious Metals, Dangerous Substances, Drugs/Narcotics (illegal), Explosives, Firearms and Parts Thereof, Human Remains, Pornography, Aerosols, Fuel, Foodstuffs (most), Livestock, Other Local Restrictions May Apply. If you are in any doubt please contact the Embassy and check out the customs website for your destination or contact your personal advisor. Large fines are imposed for non compliance with these regulations
Transit Times : All Transit times quoted are approximate, we do not offer guaranteed arrival or delivery times. Your goods can be delayed for many reasons totally out of our control. Even so, 90% of the shipments we send do arrive on or around the date quoted. When transit times are quoted in days they are based from when the goods sail from the port to arrival the destination port, The sailings are normally weekly or fortnightly and we require the goods upto 10 days prior to the sailing date. When the transit time is shown in weeks, the transit time is from collected your residence to the named place of destination, ready for shipment, with all necessary paperwork in place.
When Your Goods Arrive : We normally notify you of the approximate time of arrival when we collect your goods. When the vessel has sailed, we email the Bill of Lading to you, this document has all the information you need to obtain your goods at the destination. We ask that you make contact with our agent within a week of the goods arrival. The agent may bnot know about your goods prior to this time. IMPORTANT: Storage charges for uncleared goods can be expensive. Generally, by sea you are allowed 5 days and Airfreight 1 day before storage charges begin. After 3 days these charges can escalate. Therefore, please ensure that you keep in contact with the agent and pay any monies due without delay. If you have a dispute let us know immediately. Customs charge storage every day of the year and these should be avoided at all costs.
